National level Save Our Rice Campaign from 2007 to 2019 with key objectives of conserving rice ecosystem, Sustaining Rice Culture and Diversity, Protecting traditional wisdom, Preventing GMOs and Toxics and Ensuring Safe and Nutritious food.

Organised Annual Paddy Festival, popularly called Nel Thiruvizha successfully for last 17 years with wide spread participation across India. Following our initiative many farmer associations, government organizations and other NGOs were also organizing the “Nel Thiruvizha” nowadays.

Supported revival of 174 traditional paddy varieties and facilitated providing it to more than 50,000 farmers in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala and West Bengal through Annual Paddy Seed Festival.

Establishing 6 community Rice Diversity Blocks (RDBs) and 5 community level Seed Banks, conserving and promoting around 174 indigenous varieties of paddy seeds in Tamil Nadu. Eg: Traditional Seed Conservation, Training and Multiplication Centre, Aadhirengam and Parithuyr Thiruvarur District of Tamil Nadu and also in Kerala Waynad District.

Creating awareness among farmers, consumer and policy makers about values of rice biodiversity by organizing various campaigns and programs like traditional food mela.

Facilitating adoption of agro ecological farming in rice ecosystems and encouraging farmers, State authorities and local governments to adopt indigenous seeds.
